This post is sponsored by Audible

This week Audible has a big sale going on with tons of books on sale for $5 or $6 and many at $3!

If you’re looking to bulk up your audiobook collection, there isn’t a better time to buy than now.

Here’s what you need to know about the Audible sale.

  1. You need to be an Audible Premium Plus subscriber to access the sale prices. If you aren’t a current member, you can sign up for a trial month here!
  2. The sale ends Wednesday night! Do not wait if you want to snatch up some titles – they’ll all go back up at midnight on Wednesday evening.
  3. If you purchase on the Amazon site, here’s how to pay for it with money instead of credits. It is going to default to wanting you to spend a credit, but if you scroll down just a bit, you’ll see the option to buy with cash instead. It looks like this:

Anyway, with those things out of the way, here are some of the titles I’m excited about – you can see the whole sale section here if you’d like to scope the entire list out.

The Best Audiobooks in Audible’s Sale

For Kids

the candy shop wars bookthe candy shop wars book

The Candy Shop War by Brandon Mull – $4.11
10 hours 26 minutes
My girls have listened to this one nonstop over the years and this price is excellent!

dragon masters bookdragon masters book

Rise of the Earth Dragon by Tracey West – $1.84
48 minutes
Clocking in at almost an hour, this fantasy adventure is perfect for an afternoon at home or a lot of errands around town in the car. Most of the books in the series are this incredible price!

i survived pearl harbori survived pearl harbor

I Survived series by Lauren Tarshis – $3.35 each
1 hour 16 minutes
Almost every book in this series in under around $3! These are perfect for those non-fiction, historical fiction lovers in your life! So many great historical topics written about in a very engaging way! And if your kids end up loving them, I have a whole post here with other titles like the I Survived series.

Nothing Else but Miracles by Kate Albus – $2.61
7 hours 17 minutes
Her book A Place to Hang the Moon, was my favorite read aloud from 2022, and this is her newest historical fiction title. This one is also set during World War II, following three siblings in New York City, as their father leaves to fight in the war. I read it aloud to my girls and we all loved it!

The Arnold Lobel Audio Collection by Arnold Lobel – $5.84
57 minutes
I absolutely adore Arnold Lobel! You probably know him best for Frog and Toad Are Friends, but this collection is one hour of pure delight. It includes four other quirky, charming stories – Owl at Home is my personal favorite. I’ve read it to my girls dozens of times over the years, and the audiobook version is truly top-notch.

Wormwood AbbeyWormwood Abbey

Wormwood Abbey series by Christmas Baehr – $2.20
5 hours and 27 minutes
This one made it on to the 2025 Summer Reading Guide and for good reason! They have been a huge hit at our house, especially for my 12 & 14 year olds. Set in Victorian England, the series follows Edith and her family, dragon protectors who inherit an abbey in Yorkshire. They discover dragons on the property and must protect them from the outside world. With a spunky protagonist, a fantastic setting, and great character development, this YA series with a touch of fantasy is an absolute delight. (And the best part? The rest of the series is marked down too – each one for $3 or less!)

Faker by Gordan Korman – $2.29
5 hours 53 minutes
I’ve never read this one, but I absolutely love Swindle by Gordan Korman (which is also on sale for $2.06!) and would love to try out another book of his. Trey knows the drill. Trey goes to a new school, makes new friends, his dad makes new friends, tricks them all into some sort of scheme and then they flee town. (There are tons of other Gordan Korman books on great sale under $3!)

Carry On, Mr. Bowditch by Jean Lee Latham – $2.38
6 hours 45 minutes
This Newberry winner follows Nat (the real-life Nathaniel Bowditch) a scrappy math whiz who went from indentured servant to sea hero. He changes the world of navigation and proves that knowledge can really save lives. Perfect for readers who love revolutionary-war era historical fiction.

the cricket in times squarethe cricket in times square

The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden – $7.07
3 hours 18 minutes
This book is a great book for any elementary schooler! With a fun story about a cat, mouse and a cricket, this trio is hard to not love with all of their adventures!

GhostGhost

Ghost by Jason Reynolds – $6.63
3 hours and 29 minutes
Another Everyday Reading Book Club pick! I can’t wait to discuss this one in the month of July. I read the first book in this series years ago and have meant to go back for ages and read all four books in the series about four kids chosen for an elite middle school track team. This is a team that could qualify them for the Junior Olympics but only if they can get their acts together. Super readable and wonderful. We’ll only discuss the first one in book club but I’m planning to read all four!

a single sharda single shard

A Single Shard by Linda Sue Parks – $6.64
3 hours 12 minutes
When I was working more seriously on reading all the Newbery winners, I picked this one up, knowing exactly nothing about it. A story about potters in 12th century Korea might not sound thrilling but this book is PHENOMENAL. I listened to it again with my girls a few years ago and we all were entranced. I may have gotten teary in the driver’s seat multiple times.  (Full review here)

the view from saturday bookthe view from saturday book

The View From Saturday by Jenna Lamia – $7.96
4 hours 41 minutes
This is the first book I remember reading as a child and thinking “This is a really well written book.” This one is definitely for kids more in the middle grade age range. There are four main characters and it follows each family and how they intertwine. It’s a great one!

This is book #5 in the Redwall series, one of my very favorite series as a child – I’m pretty sure I read a couple of the books at least five or six times. All the books in the series can be read as standalone books. They are perfect for fantasy and animal lovers.

Astrid the Unstoppable by Maria Parr – $3.35
6 hours 10 minutes
Astrid, nicknamed “the little thunderbolt” loves racing down the hillside on her sled and singing loudly as she goes. She frequently visits her unlikely friend Gunnvald, her 70 year old best friend and godfather. Astrid’s world gets turned upside down at the arrival of a tall woman who everyone seems to know except her. Astrid devises a plan to set things right again.

The Winged Watchman by Hilda van Stockum – $2.79
4 hours 10 minutes
In Nazi-occupied Holland, the Verhagen family risks everything to help a hidden Jewish child and a downed RAF pilot while quietly aiding the resistance – all from their windmill home.

War Games by Alan Gratz – $2.98
9 hours 4 minutes
Alan Gratz is a master of historical fiction and his books are always high action through famous moments in history. My 13 year old has read probably 6 of his books over the past year – she loves him!

I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter – $4.23
6 hours 51 minutes
A fun, fast-paced spy story with just the right mix of mystery, humor, and heart. Cammie Morgan attends a secret school for spies, but her biggest challenge isn’t decoding missions, it’s navigating her first real crush without blowing her cover. Perfect for readers who love adventure with a light, romantic twist.

The Good Thieves by Katherine Rundell – $2.29
5 hours 17 minutes
A spirited, adventure-filled story with a clever heroine at its center. Set in 1920s New York, Vita is determined to help her grandfather reclaim his home. It’s a charming, fast-moving tale of courage, loyalty, and just the right amount of mischief.

Hank the Cowdog by John Erickson – $1.76
2 hours 33 minutes
This is a series that really should be listened to since the audio versions are truly hilarious. We discovered them when I was maybe 11 or 12 on a road trip and I woke up late at night to hear my mom listening to them as she drove through the night, laughing out loud. Hank thinks he’s brilliant (and of course, handsome and charming) while the reader knows that. . . the truth is possibly a little different.

The Roald Dahl Collection – $7.96
3 hours 40 minutes
Roald Dahl books are full of wackiness, silliness and he can pull it off! My girls have listened to a ton of his books and loved every magical, crazy second of them. This collection is GREAT! It includes 5 of his best known books!

The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery – $2.67
8 hours 12 minutes
If you want even more L.M. Montgomery this one is often people’s favorites of all her books! If you want something delightfully old-fashioned, this is for you. It’s a perfect fall read, now that summer will be winding down.

Solimar by Pam Munoz Ryan – $3.53
4 hours 39 minutes
A gentle, magical story with a brave princess at its heart. Solimar treasures her independence, but when her kingdom is threatened, she must use both courage and compassion to protect her people. Lyrical and thoughtful, it’s a quiet adventure about finding your voice and standing up for what matters.

The Bark of the Bog Owl by Jonathan Rogers- $5.99
5 hours
Think, pre King David, middle-grade adventure fantasy, all with a strong sense of the American South. Plus, it’s all based around the biblical story David and Goliath.

Ungifted by Gordon Korman – $2.38
6 hours 14 minutes
Gordon Korman writes some amazing books! And in this one a totally average kid accidentally ends up at a school for geniuses. You learn how he both learns from his classmates and shows them there’s more to life than just being “gifted.”

The Picasso Curse by Dan Gutman – $1.91
3 hours 21 minutes
This fast-paced, funny middle grade follows a kid who accidentally ends up with a Picasso worth millions, and suddenly his normal life spirals into total chaos. I loved how it mixes big laughs with a little suspense as everything keeps going hilariously (and wildly) wrong.

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O’Brien – $2.38
6 hours 13 minutes
If you’ve never read this Newbery winner about some very smart rats who help save a little mouse family, you’re missing out. The first chapter or two are bit slow, but after that we couldn’t read enough and we read long past bedtime many many nights. (I’ve never read the sequel – is it worth it?).

Framed by James Ponti – $2.23
5 hours 23 minutes
Another book by James Ponti and Ella blew through this series in a week! This book follows Florian Bates who is the only kid that the FBI Director has on speed dial (and a kid that a whole lot of criminals want taken care of). After a move to DC, Florian and his new friend Margaret uncover a mystery that involves a major crime ring, the FBI and the National Gallery. It’s up to them to solve the mystery AND get their homework done.

For Adults

every falling star bookevery falling star book

Every Falling Star by Sungju Lee – $2.86
9 hours and 24 minutes
This one is the August pick for the Everyday Reading Book Club, so snag this copy for crazy cheap if you plan to read along with me! The title tells you everything you need to know about this book written by a boy who grew up in North Korea and managed to escape. I cannot wait!

Comfort & Joy bookComfort & Joy book

Comfort & Joy by Kristin Hannah – $3.23
6 hours 6 minutes
This was on my list of holiday books to read last year and I didn’t get to it, but I’m determined not to miss it this year! I love Kristin Hannah’s historical fiction books but I’ve never read some of her older books back when she mostly wrote contemporary fiction.

Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins – $6.99
12 hours 48 minutes
I wasn’t sure what to expect after The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (which I couldn’t get through), but this Haymitch prequel completely hooked me and reminded me of the grip the original trilogy had on me! Set during the 50th Hunger Games, this is the story of Haymitch as a contender in the Hunger Games 24 years before Katniss volunteers as Tribute. This one is INTENSE and the audio made me feel like I was watching a movie. My 15 year old loved it too.

meditations for mortalsmeditations for mortals

Meditations for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman – $7.96
4 hours and 4 minutes
I loved this witty, wise guide to embracing life as it is (no matter how messy and imperfect it may be)! If you’re craving meaningful change without the hustle culture guilt trip, this one’s for you. I think I will be buying my own copy of this to have on hand – I could have marked up every page. It’s also designed to be read one chapter a day and each chapter is only 2-3 pages long so it’s very doable!

The Holiday Stand-In by Kortney Keisel – $3.72
8 hours 38 minutes
This book was just pure holiday romance fun. Summer loves Christmas and all the festivities surrounding it, but her boyfriend is too busy at work to come to the many holiday events her family has planned. Desperate to prove to her parents and family that she and Justin are a great match, she agrees to take Justin’s twin brother to holiday events in place of Justin. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out what’s going to happen in this book, but it is just a delight to watch it play out. This one has no language and no spicy scenes.

One foggy christmasOne foggy christmas

One Foggy Christmas by Kortney Keisel – $2.74
8 hours 35 minutes
I read this in a day – it reminded me a little of one of my all-time favorite books, What Alice Forgot. Sadie wakes up after a ski accident with no memory of the last 3+ years including her husband. In her mind, she’s still dating her high school boyfriend and can’t imagine why they broke up and how she ended up married to some guy she doesn’t even know. Nash is devastated but spends the Christmas season trying to help her remember their romance. This one has some heavier themes that lent some substance to it while still being funny and swoony (no language and no spicy scenes).

talking as fast as i can booktalking as fast as i can book

Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham – $7.96
4 hours 35 minutes
I loved Gilmore Girls back in the day and this was just so delightful. The audio version is also a really great listen since she reads it herself.

Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson – $3.94
12 hours and 27 minutes
This one made it to the Summer Reading Guide last year because it was an absolute delight for our entire family! We listened this full cast version on a road trip and made such fun memories listening all together! Tress has lived a quiet life until her beloved friend (and . .. .maybe more than friend?) is taken away on a voyage by his father and disaster strikes. Now Tress is ready to leave everything she’s ever known behind to stow away on a ship and sail across the mysterious seas where even a single drop of water can spell death for everyone aboard.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
