Application & Blend
I won’t lie: As someone who is fairly new to the extensions world, I was a bit intimidated about where exactly to start. But, after watching a quick YouTube tutorial (and later finding a TikTok breakdown that made it even easier), I quickly gained confidence to go for it and can honestly say that they’re pretty foolproof. Clipping them in took me about five minutes, and then I styled my hair as usual. The first time I snapped them into place, I was surprised at how secure they felt. A little teasing at the root, per Bellami’s instructions, helps the clips grip, but once they’re in, they don’t budge.
Look & Feel
At first, I definitely noticed the weight, but only for the first half-hour or so (and it was most definitely just due to me having multiple foreign objects in my hair for the first time). After that, I forgot they were even there. What really shocked me, though, was how seamlessly they blended. When I first held the extensions against my hair, the color looked slightly warmer than my ashy brown strands. But once clipped in and styled, they melted into my natural hair perfectly. Even I couldn’t tell where my hair ended and the extensions began.
Wearability
I wore them for a full night out, and they didn’t move once. They held curls beautifully, stayed comfortable, and even tolerated a gentle brush-through without slipping. The only giveaway that I was wearing them was how many compliments I got on my hair, which usually doesn’t happen.
Are Bellami hair extensions worth it?
For me, the answer is absolutely yes. The price point is an investment, but considering the quality, ease of use, and how natural they look, I’d say they’re beyond worth it. They’re best for anyone who wants a low-commitment way to add length and volume—whether you’re prepping for a major event, experimenting with your everyday style, or just craving a confidence boost. The pros? They’re comfortable, blend beautifully, and can be styled again and again with proper care. The cons? Maybe they take a bit of getting used to, and figuring out clip placement will probably take a practice round or two. But overall, they delivered everything I was hoping for and then some. I am officially out of the “hair extensions aren’t for me” camp.
