4 Favorite Things for October (+ my team’s picks!)

October flew by in in a blink (being gone for a week in Boston definitely made it feel like it raced by) and I can’t believe it is Halloween this weekend.

We’re finishing up the last of our Halloween costumes and getting ready for our annual Halloween dinner and getting back into the swing of school and work after a week off.

Here are four of my favorite things this month!

Ruti Pants
I didn’t want to like these because they’re so pricy. And then I actually LOVED them. They’re a perfect dress up/dress down pant and excellent for travel – I wore them multiple days on our Boston trip including on our cross-country flight home. I’m wearing my normal size and I got a petite version because I’m slightly under 5’4″.

Walmart Dress
I tried on so many dresses for our family photos this year, including pricey ones from Madewell and Boden and this Walmart dress took the cake. It comes in a bunch of colors and I absolutely loved it – I went with the wine red color!

DIBS Mascara
I’m hard to impress with a mascara and I have my tried and true favorites, but I’ve reached for this one every day since I got it and it was the one I used for our family photo. The double-ended design is a little bulkier to use than a standard tube, but the primer and mascara combo gives me insane lashes that is worth it.

Portable Charger
I have several other portable chargers and this is the one I used every day on our trip to Boston – it charges my phone CRAZY fast and is nice and slim so it fits easily into my tiny crossbody bag. There are lots of color options and I love that there are two kinds of cords built right in.

SoComfy Oversized Crew Neck Sweatshirt
When the seasons change do you ever find yourself looking in your closet and thinking, what in the world did I wear last year? I had one of those moments this month. I have plenty of better than basic sweaters, but didn’t have a lot of comfy, work from home, go to a soccer game clothes. So I ordered this avocado green crew neck sweatershirt and this Umber Earth color with the intention of only keeping one. Well, I kept both and have worn them multiple times. They look so cute with a white t-shirt under them and I feel put together while being comfy.

Rollneck Sweater
Fall has finally arrived, and nothing has felt better than layering up in this soft LL Bean rollneck sweater. I just returned from London, and it was perfect for strolling the city streets. It’s cozy, chic, and ready for all the fall and winter adventures ahead.

Perk Chill
My husband and I love sipping Perk Chill in the evenings now that it has cooled down. It is the perfect cozy drink and has some protein that helps with muscle recovery over night. Our favorite flavors are dutch hot cocoa, mint chocolate and chocolate raspberry.
