A November Weekend of Fantastic Book Deals

There are a LOT of good book deals going on this weekend – sometimes I can barely find 3-4 books deals worth sharing and then other weekends, like this one, I’m AMAZED at how many good options there are!

(Also, don’t miss the Audible deal going on right now – 99 cents a month for 3 months! Take two seconds to click the link and see if it offers it to you!)

Emma m lion audioEmma m lion audio

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower – audiobook – $4.99
If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I love this series! I had read the entire series twice before these came out on audio and I was so excited to try out the audio version – wait until you hear all the voices the narrator does!

Ramona the Brave by Beverly Cleary – audiobook – $3.99
My girls have listened non-stop to every Ramona book. There’s a reason they’re still so popular, all these years later. We listened to one of them on a road trip several years ago and Bart turned to me and said, “She is just SUCH a good writer.” Couldn’t agree more. (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

DivergentDivergent

Divergent by Veronica Roth – audiobook – $3.99
This dystopian novel was at the top of all the charts when it came out a decade ago and it’s still a fun read and listen for adults and teens!

Owls in the Family by Farley Mowat – audiobook – $1.99
I still remember my mom reading this one to us in a tiny playground at a park in Las Vegas when I was a child. It’s just funny and short (be warned that it might take you a chapter or two to get into it). Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!

the happiness projectthe happiness project

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin – audiobook – $6.99
I LOVE Gretchen Rubin and this book, which really made a name for her. It is so delightful and perfect for a reset time, which is what I see the beginning of a new year as. (Full review here)

Socks by Beverly Cleary – audiobook – $3.99
Oh, how I LOVE Beverly Clearly. I think her books might be some of the best children’s books ever written and they’re especially delightful on audio. (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The Wild Robot Escapes by Peter Brown – audiobook – $4.99
This is the sequel to the highly popular Wild Robot, which my girls and I listened to and LOVED! In this one, Roz is trying to figure out how to live in the civilized world, all while trying to get back to Brightbill. (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The Happy life of Isadora BentleyThe Happy life of Isadora Bentley

The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh – audiobook – $3.99
I listened to this story about a reclusive university researcher who has given up on love (and basically all relationships) on my runs last summer and it was a nice distraction from the miles I was pounding out. The heroine is Isadora who finds a magazine article with 31 ways to be happy and decides she’s going to prove the author wrong – she’ll do all 31 things and there is no way she’ll be happier at the end. Right? This is a squeaky-clean love story with a STEM storyline and it’s a fun, fluffy delight.

Dasher Can’t Wait for Christmas by Matt Tavares – audiobook – $1.99
I love this sequel to Dasher, just as much as the original. Dasher, a little reindeer, loves Christmas, and as she is out enjoying the festivities she gets lost. No longer able to find her way using the North Star, will Dasher be able to make it home in time to help Santa? (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

the one and only Ivanthe one and only Ivan

The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate – audiobook – $3.99
I pretty much don’t care for animals (I know) and I STILL think this is one of the best kids books ever, Newbery winner or not. When a book is this sweet, funny, and well-written, who cares if it’s narrated by a gorilla? Not me. (Full review here) Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!

Highland Hearts Holiday Bookshop by Tricia O’Malley – audiobook – $3.99
I can never resist a fluffy holiday read – it’s one of my weaknesses. And this one about a woman who inherits a Scottish bookstore and might just find love with the grumpy birdwatcher who keeps showing up…sounds like it could be great!

the berlin letters bookthe berlin letters book

The Berlin Letters by Katherine Reay – audiobook – $5.99
Growing up in the US with her German grandparents who left Berlin in the 60s after the Berlin Wall went up, Luisa thought both her parents died in a car accident. Then in her work at the CIA, she comes across a piece of information that makes her question everything she knows about her family. Could her father still be alive and trapped in East Berlin? This gripping Cold War novel tells the story of a family divided by the Berlin Wall – told in a dual timeline from the perspective of Luisa, and her father Haris.

in a holidaze bookin a holidaze book

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren – audiobook – $5.99
I read this fun Christmas romance when it first came out and it was a fluffy delight (like most of Christina Lauren’s books). In this one, Maelyn Jones is not feeling very merry – she has a lousy job, lives with her parents, and now has just found out that the mountain cabin where her family spends every holiday with two other family friends is being sold. And then . . . Groundhog Day begins where she starts living the same day over and over. If you like Sophie Kinsella books, this is along the same lines (although not quite as funny).
